Exes Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk Put Their Differences Aside for the Sake of Their Daughter

It has been more than a month since actor Bradley Cooper and Victoria’s Secret Angel Irina Shayk have decided to call it quits, but it turns out that in a way, they are still bounded by a thread – that is their 2-year-old daughter, Lea de Seine.

While the couple’s split in June was said to be due to irreconcilable differences, what both of them agree about is their priority, which is their bundle of joy. Breaking up is hard, to say the least, but when there’s a kid involved, things can get a hundred times harder.

Custody

That’s why for Bradley and Irina, Lea remains to be the most important part of their decision. In doing so, the couple was said to have a 50-50 split on physical and legal custody, but this would greatly vary on each of the A-listers’ schedule.

Their eyes are set on being better parents for their child despite parting ways, so much so that a source said this decision wasn’t legally binding nor was there a formal and written agreement.

The former love birds have also decided to live within the same city (New York City), probably so Lea doesn’t have to travel too much if she would be going to another parent’s house. Sounds familiar? That’s because it looks the same with what Chris Pratt and Anna Faris agreed upon just to put less pressure on their son Jack – however, theirs entails residing within five miles of the other person. As for Bradley and Irina, won’t that be awkward for them?

The Big Apple is huge, so there’s little chance that they might bump into each other. But no one can really tell since the maxim It’s a small world, after all, might be true.

Let’s just hope that will not happen when they are with their new boos. Of late, Irina, who has dodged breakup rumors in interviews, has been seen out for walks with her daughter while Bradley was once photographed with Laura Dern in one outing in New York.

The 50-50 custody is a nod to Irina and Bradley’s devotion to co-parenting Lea, which was reported immediately after their split.

An insider said that 33-year-old Russian is a very hands-on mom who takes her daughter to play dates, classes, and even parks, so it is just natural that she sees the bundle of joy’s welfare as of paramount importance. The same can be said of the Hangover star, who, according to another source, has always been involved with the child.

Breakup

The celebrity couple has always been secretive when it comes to details about their family. They sparked dating rumors in 2015, just a few months after Irina broke up with her boyfriend for five years, soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, while Bradley from actress Suki Waterhouse.

They first played it coy, only seen making out at one time and hanging out with each other’s family, although they remained mum about the real score.

By 2016, Irina and Bradley were rumored to be looking for their house. After a rocky few months, the model announced her pregnancy and less than a month later, she was spotted wearing an emerald ring, fueling engagement rumors.

The couple welcomed Lea in March 2017, but things took a different turn after A Star Is Born, where Bradley and Lady Gaga starred in, premiered in October 2018.
