Hammocks Over the Mountain

Shallow Waters

This stunning drone photo is a true masterpiece. It captures a group of fishermen throwing out their nets from their fishing boats. We are not sure, though what they will be able to catch in such shallow water, as some of the men are in a boat while others are wading in the sand on the bottom.

With the water being so shallow, the fish can easily be spooked and it can be hard to approach them without scaring them away. In addition, visibility is often limited in shallow water, making it difficult to observe the fish and choose the right bait or lure

The volcano has been active and has seen several major eruptions. The bubbling lava lake inside Mount Marum is one of the most spectacular sights on the island.

The lake is filled with molten lava that glows with a deep orange color, and bubbles and spews lava regularly. The lake is constantly in motion, with the molten lava churning and rolling around, creating a mesmerizing and awe-inspiring sight.
