Owen Wilson is a legendary comedy actor who has made so much money during his long-standing career that he never has to work another day in his life – at least that’s what we thought. In reality, life after retirement from the entertainment industry is not as glamorous as it may seem. Sometimes you have to face the struggles that normal people do when it comes to making money. When Wilson sold sofas on the internet, there were speculations that he is broke and looking for a way to make ends meet.

There was a time his rivals couldn’t stand his success because of his unique sense of humor that gave Hollywood’s comedy genre a much-needed revival. He joined Hollywood and starred in many movies like The Wedding Crashers and Marley and Me. He is good at what he does on the big screen but the actor hasn’t been seen in a leading role for many years. Nevertheless, it is alarming when people show concern about his financial status.

The actor was in pretty bad shape in 2007 due to his waning popularity in Hollywood which led to depression. Wilson even tried taking his life when he lost hope of ever returning to Hollywood. Selling sofas became his solace which helped him escape depression and find some sense of purpose in his life.

The actor is back and he is doing well in some of his recent movies. The actor welcomed a baby in 2018 with Varunie Vongsvirates, his girlfriend of five years. But, he refused to see his daughter until a paternity test confirmed he was the actual father. Wilson shares a seven-year-old boy with Jade Duell and a four-year-old daughter with Caroline Lindqvist.
