Is Meatball a Fruit? Are Pickles Cucumbers? Celebrities Who Are CLUELESS About Everyday Foods
Are you a fan of ice cream? What about crispy, golden french fries? But we doubt that the idea of combining these two foods has ever occurred to you.
While celebrities are anything but normal, thanks to the vast amount of fame and fortune to their names, these superstars still share some traits with normal people, especially when it comes to their food preferences.
Most of us have our fair share of bizarre food moments, and celebrities are no exemption. If anything, these people are even more clueless about everyday foods that we enjoy, simply because they are too rich to be eating them. Honestly, who would eat $1 hotdogs when they can have fine champagne and caviar?
Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian is known for many things: her ever-expanding family, an enviable beauty empire, a popular app and a reality television show that just doesn’t look like it’s ever going to come to an end.
But while Kim may know all things business and makeup, there is one area that she lacks in knowledge. We’re talking about pickles. Recently Kim shocked the world when she admitted on television that she didn’t know the difference between a pickle and a cucumber. What’s worse is that she isn’t even bothered to look it up on the internet and educate herself.
While the reality TV star received a lot of backlash for her ignorance, there were some who appreciated her honesty. In her defense, the two vegetables are closely related so it’s not a complete shock that she’s confused between the two. Pickle is a cucumber that’s mainly been brined by a solution made of vinegar, salt, water and sugar.
Kylie Jenner
But when it comes to bizarre food moments, little sister Kylie Jenner is not far behind. The makeup mogul shocked her 27 million Twitter followers when she announced that she tried eating cereal with milk as breakfast for the very first time in 21 years. Since Kylie advocates a healthy lifestyle, her fans assumed that eating cereal is simply not a part of her diet.
But momager Kris Jenner stepped in and confessed that it was her fault that Kylie was never introduced to the concept of eating cereal and milk before. According to her, she let her kids eat dry cereal when they were young and that’s what they grew up to know. It could be that Jenner didn’t like the bland taste and it stuck with her so she stayed away from cereal for a long time until she discovered milk!
Post Malone
The famous Rockstar rapper has eaten plenty of spaghetti in his childhood, but surprisingly, he had no idea what meatballs were until he asked his fans on social media for clarification. He innocently questioned if meatballs could be considered fruit, and fans couldn’t tell if he was trolling or telling the truth. The Grammy nominee received thousands of sarcastic replies with one user stating it was the most Post Malone thing he has ever seen.
The Duggars
Deviled eggs are a staple at every Easter Sunday brunch but the Duggars family shocked the world when they took the “devil” out of the famous recipe. Instead of calling it “deviled eggs,” the Christian clan reinvented its name and called it yellow pocket angel eggs — see? Not so intimidating anymore.
According to them, they want to honor God on Easter, and not celebrate the devil by naming an egg dish after him, hence they opted to change its name.
Chrissy Teigen
The Lip Sync Battle co-host once shared an excellent idea with her Twitter fans last 2018 when she said that manufacturers should start producing edible stickers. Her fans were quick to reply that most produce labels nowadays are already edible.
The unity in comments somehow convinced the cookbook author, so she purposely ate those colorful labels. Only then did she realize her followers just fooled her! Still, she didn’t lose her humor and congratulated her fans for making her eat produce stickers.
