Every now and then, you sit back on your couch and watch some old movie, which is even black and white maybe. How would you feel though if you knew that some of these iconic actors you see playing in these vintage films are still alive? Many of these stars helped shape the Golden Age of Hollywood, and even if most of them are now in their nineties, they take good care of their health, still looking glimmering. Others haven’t even retired, and a few wrinkles haven’t stopped them from acting. And while most people on this list are actors, there are some surprising entries that you wouldn’t want to miss!

Loretta Lynn, 86 Years Old

Loretta Lynn is considered to be country music’s absolute Queen—and she has multiple awards to prove this. Lynn has won both Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association accolades. In 2018, she was also named Artist of a Lifetime by CMT. Lynn currently has not done retirement planning as she also released a new record titled Wouldn’t It Be Great in 2018.  Even if they faced numerous marital problems throughout the years, Lynn has only married once to Doolittle Lynn and they have 6 children together. Doolittle, who died in 1966, was the one who bought her her first guitar. And in case you didn’t know, Lynn was self-taught.

Jerry Lee Lewis, 82 Years Old

Jerry Lee Lewis was quite the bad boy during his life, but fortunately, he calmed down as he grew up. The rock n’ roll star has sold numerous records, and he has made a name for himself in the global music community. He faced several legal issues when he was younger, and believe it or not, his love life is a mess. We don’t know how he managed not to suffer from depression after seven marriages, but we guess it’s the ‘rock n’ roll genes’ that kept him strong after all.

Ali MacGraw, 81 Years Old

We would love to look like Ali MacGraw on our eighties, but for “mortals” like us, this would never be possible without cosmetic surgery. The iconic actress took part in many silver screen productions, though none of them has been as successful as Love Story, the movie which marked her career once and for all. Just like many other actors of her time, she’s a spokesperson for animal rights, and she once teamed up with PETA for a public announcement video.

Barbara Mandrell, 69 Years Old

Barbara Mandrell was a very popular country singer during the 1970s through 1980s. Some of her most popular singles were (If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don’t Want to Be Right, Sleeping Single in a Double Bed, and I Was Country When Country Wasn’t Cool. In the mid-1980s, Mandrell landed a long stay at the hospital after she was involved in a serious car crash. She has been retired since the late 1990s and chooses to live a peaceful life with her family these days. Her most recent release was a compilation album back in 2016 titled This Time I Almost Made It: The Lost Columbia Masters.

Ann-Margret, 77 Years Old

Who doesn’t remember the gorgeous redhead Ann-Margret? Sophia Loren was the ultimate female role model of her time, with her only rival being Brigitte Bardot. The Italian allure became a star of her time, and she’s still praised for her drop-dead gorgeous looks and finesse. The Italian film, Two Women, gave her an Academy Award, and her acting prowess along with her insane beauty transformed her into a Hollywood A-lister. Harry Belafonte, 91 Years Old

Singer-songwriter, actor, and activist Harry Belafonte is credited for popularizing the Caribbean musical style internationally. He released Calypso in 1956 and it ended up being his breakthrough album. He’s perhaps best known for The Banana Boat Song and his music cuts across several genres, including gospel, blues, show tunes, and folk. As an actor, he’s appeared in numerous films such as Island in the Sun and Carmen Jones. In the ‘50s and the ‘60s, Belafonte was amongst the early backers of the Civil Rights Movement. Belafonte earned an honorary doctorate degree from the Boston-based Berklee College of Music in 2014.

Tina Louise, 86 Years Old

Realizing that Tina Louise is now 85 years old is quite shocking. The actress made a name for herself by portraying Ginger Grant in   CBS’s   Gilligan’s Island, and to be honest, her subsequent roles haven’t been that notable, even though she has been active in the industry for many, many decades. Brigitte Bardot, in her time, was actress Sophia Loren’s greatest rival. She was jaw-droppingly beautiful and it so happened that she and Sophia were the same age, too. In her youth, Bardot actually dreamed of becoming a ballerina, but it didn’t take her long to realize how much better acting was for her credit report! It later proved to be a good choice as she starred in over forty films, strutted several catwalks, and released a couple songs during her active years. Younger generations still watch Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music, and that’s just proof of how magnificent as an actress and singer Julie Andrews really is. Henry Winkler, 73 Years Old

Henry Winkler has been in everyone’s minds since his days as the Fonze in the TV comedy show,   Happy Days. Ever since then, he has had a prolific career as an actor and writer, has built a beautiful family, and has left his mark in the entertainment scene. Gene Heckman is a famous Oscar-winning actor whose career over six decades, with some pauses on a few occasions. He got his two Oscars for roles in   The French Connection   and   Unforgiven. Gene’s breakthrough role was for   in Bonnie and Clyde, which brought him his 1st Oscar nomination, and he was nominated four additional times. He played Lex Luthor in the Richard Donner   Superman   movies and was also in   The Quick and the Dead, Get Shorty, The Royal Tenenbaums,   and others. Charles Grodin – 83 Years Old

Charles Grodin is an actor, comedian, and was a known TV host, who has been active since 1954. His movie career took off in the ‘60s with roles in   The Virginian   and   Rosemarys Baby. Grodin was also in   Seems Like Old Times, The Incredible Shrinking Woman, The Great Muppet Caper, Ishtar,   and others. He retired from acting in the ‘90s and went on to host the   60 Minutes II   show. Charles also had his own   Charles Grodin Show,   and authored several best-selling works. After pausing his career for his children, Gordin was seen in several movies in the past decade, most recently in   Madoff   and   The Comedian   in 2016.

Bill Murray – 68 Years Old

Bill Murray is a world-famous actor and comedian, who gained fame on   Saturday Night Live   throughout the ‘70s. He was in   Meatballs, Tootsie, Ghostbusters 1 & 2, Groundhog Day, and others. His portfolio in the new millennium also contains praised performances, like in   Lost in Translation, and Coffee and Cigarettes,   while his performances on   SNL   continued until 2018. Her voice acting in   The Beauty and the Beast   animated film is still praised by numerous fans and critics. Moreover, her work in   Murder, She Wrote   was absolutely fascinating. During the ’60s, Lansbury’s children were rumored to have personal problems. Luckily, they recovered and followed their own careers rather successfully, supported all the way by their famous mother. Now, being 93 years old, Angela is one of the most recognizable faces in the 7th art.

Bob Dole, 95 Years Old

Retired politician Robert Joseph Dole served as a U.S. senator and before that, he represented Kansas in the House of Representatives. Dole then served as the United States Senate Republican Leader from 1985 through to 1996. He’s been awarded several honorary degrees, accolades, and awards throughout his lifetime. Dole is also a Russell Lodge No. 177 member and a freemason. Interestingly, in conversations, Dole has a fondness for referring to himself in the third person. Dole has struggled with several health problems in recent years unfortunately, which began way back in the ‘70s.

Barbara Walters, 89 Years Old

Television personality, author, and broadcast journalist Barbara Walters is perhaps best known for hosting   The View, the ABC Evening News, and   20/20.   In 2010, rumors circulated about Barbara retiring but she kept on contributing occasionally for   ABC News. She married her third husband,   Lorimar Television   CEO Merv Adelson, in 1981 but they divorced in 1984. Merv and Walters remarried once again in 1986 before finally divorcing again in 1992. Since then, Walters has dated several prominent figures, including Alan Greenspan, the U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman, and the United States Senator John Warner. Walters has had heart problems and in 2010, she announced on   The View   that she would undergo open heart surgery.

Jerry Stiller, 91 Years Old

Comedian and actor Gerald Isaac Stiller spent the better part of his career as one half of the comedy duo known as Stiller and Meara alongside his wife Anne. He later snagged a role on the   NBC   sitcom   Seinfeld   and then the   CBS   series,   The King of Queens. The two comedians are the parents of actor Ben Stiller, and Jerry has starred alongside his son in several films, including   Zoolander, Hot Pursuit, and   The Heartbreak Kid. Stiller met his wife at an agent’s office, and unfortunately, Meara passed away on May 23, 2015.

Angie Dickinson – 87 Years Old

Angie Dickinson was one of the most iconic female lead actresses for many decades during the peak of her career. She was considered to be a great feminine symbol back in the day. Her career portfolio has movies like Rio Bravo and Dressed to Kill in it as well as the series Police Woman. Despite her 87 years of age, she is still quite dynamic. Although the last movie that she participated in was Mending Fences back in 2009, she remains active in her own way within the industry. In 2019, she appeared on the short TV documentary titled Valerie.

Sean Connery, 89 Years Old

Sean Connery managed to melt the hearts of women around the world after portraying the role of James Bond. He received many awards for his successful acting career, including an Academy Award, three Golden Globes, and two BAFTA awards. Today, he is still considered as one of the greatest livings actors. In 1989, he was even dubbed the hottest man of the century. After spending a very fruitful career in the industry, the actor finally entered retirement back in 2010. Vera Lynn, 102 Years Old

Vera Lynn is one of England’s most praised women, primarily for her musical efforts during WWII. She toured in India, Egypt, and other distant countries to perform for the English troops, relieving them of their stress and fear. When she returned, she continued to work on her entertainment legacy and slowly reached stardom. When she hit 100 years of age, in 2017, she released a special compilation album entitled Vera Lynn 100. Throughout her career, which began in 1935, Vera has released a total of 23 studio solo albums, with the most recent one from 2010 titled Unforgettable.

Bob Barker, 95 Years Old

Before the time of Oprah Winfrey and Jimmy Fallon, the hottest name in TV show hosting was Bob Barker. Bob is now 95 years old. He hosted numerous TV shows, and   The Price is Right   is still the longest-running daytime game show the US has ever seen. He also hosted many beauty pageants and was also seen on Truth or Consequences. Barker faced some health issues in the past, including a mild form of skin cancer, but he’s now more or less fine, considering his age, apart from a couple of slips. We bet that his fandom must be keeping him quite happy and rather lively even at his mid-90s!

Prunella Scales, 86 Years Old

English actress Prunella Margaret Scales is best known for her role on   BBCs Fawlty Towers.   She also appeared on   A Question of Attribution   as Queen Elizabeth II, a role that earned her a BAFTA nomination. She’s married to actor Timothy West and they have two sons together. Their eldest is director Samuel West. John Murray published her biography titled   Prunella   in 2005. Both she and her husband are appointees to the rank of Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) Birthday Honours List. Scales also serves as an   SOS Children’s charity ambassador.

Jimmy Carter, 94 Years Old

Another former US President who’s currently in his nineties is Jimmy Carter, who led the country during the late ’70s and early ’80s. Carter had also served in the US Navy, something that he had dreamed of since he was a teenager. In the summer of 2015, the former politician and activist announced that he had cancer, and received aggressive chemo to fight against it. In 2015, reports claimed that Carter had recovered from his condition and that he didn’t suffer from the notorious disease anymore. Sadly, though, all three of his siblings had died from cancer.

Kim Novak, 86 Years Old

Kim Novak had a wonderful career in Hollywood, even if she opted to retire quite early. Having starred alongside acting colossi such as Kirk Douglas, her most prominent role was the one of Madeline Elster/Judy Barton in Hitchcock’s iconic film Vertigo. Everything seemed to work just fine for Novak, until 2010, when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Fortunately, she seems to have everything under control, and her doctors have told her that she’s now cancer-free.

Dick Van Dyke, 92 Years Old

Dick Van Dyke will always stay in history for his appearance in Marry Poppins, as well as for his hilarious TV show, The Dick Van Dyke Show. This acting legend has gone through a lot in his life, like a car crash a couple of years ago, where his automobile went up in flames. Fortunately, Van Dyke narrowly escaped death. In addition, the historic celebrity has had issues with smoking throughout his whole life, but we hope that despite that, he does have a heart disease awareness somehow.

Mel Brooks, 92 Years Old

Few men are as gifted as Mel Brooks when it comes to comedy and that’s why he became a legendary writer and director. He initially started his career as a writer for Your Show of Shows, but it was his creation (along with Buck Henry), iconic comedy show Get Smart, which made him a star. During the ’70s, Brooks worked behind the scenes of numerous blockbuster hits such as The Producers and Robin Hood: Men In Tights. Nowadays, Brooks is an EGOT winner—one of only 12 people to achieve that. Retirement is not an option for Brooks who recently voice acted in Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation in 2018.

Ed Asner, 88 Years Old

Acclaimed actor Ed Asner is best recognized for portraying Lou Grant in the hit series, The Mary Tyler Moore Show. However, what you might not know is that Asner voice-acted in Pixar’s animated film, Up. Asner has also served as the President of the Screen Actors Guild, and he is a well-respected personality among acting circles. Moreover, he has contributed to many treatment programs regarding autism, as he has both a child and a grandchild with the same condition.

Alan Greenspan, 92 Years Old

American economist Alan Greenspan served as the U.S. Federal Reserve chairman for 19 years until 2006. At 92, he’s not about to settle in a retirement home and instead, he still regularly works as a private adviser through Greenspan Associates LLC. He’s a recipient of the 2005 Presidential Medal of Freedom and the 2002 rank of Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire. Greenspan got married twice; first, to Canadian artist Joan Mitchell (they had an annulment) and then to journalist Andrea Mitchell. In the ‘70s, he also dated journalist/TV personality, Barbara Walters.

Little Richard, 86 Years Old

Richard Wayne Penniman aka Little Richard has been entertaining America since 1949 as a recording artist. Raised by devoted Christian parents, Richard acted in Christian shows before he moved to Atlanta in the ‘50s where he drew inspiration from Billy Wright and started recording songs. Penniman started singing gospel music but later on switched to secular music when on a tour to the United Kingdom. His life changed drastically when he spiraled down to substance dependence using marijuana, cocaine, and heroin.  However, he went against all odds and continued with the music career and switched back to evangelism in 1977. After undergoing hip surgery in 2013, he permanently retired from show business.

Carl Reiner, 96 Years Old

Carl Reiner is a man of many talents, as proven through his many decades in showbiz. He’s most recognized for his work with Dick Van Dyke and Mel Brookes, though younger fans will probably remember him from the Ocean’s Eleven franchise. Not only hasn’t age affected this star’s mental health, but he is, in fact, active in Social Media platforms, such as Twittermaking him one of the oldest people engaging in such activities. Now living in Beverly Hills, Reiner has three children, and his granddaughter, Tracey Reiner, is also an actress.

Katharine Ross,  78 Years Old

It would be impossible to forget Katharine Ross’ smile and blue eyes. Actually, it would be even harder to forget about her remarkable performance in The Graduate. Among her other, most notable roles were the ones in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and The Stepford Wives. Though she has retired, she still makes guests appearances every now and then, but she’s mostly focused on living a quiet, relaxed life alongside her husband, actor Sam Elliot.

Clu Gulager, 90 Years Old

Clu Gulager first gained popularity after appearing in the hit NBC TV series The Tall Man as William H. Bonney. Gulager also portrayed the role of Emmett Ryker in another NBC western series The Virginian, though his first major role was in the film The Killers where he played professional serial killer Lee. At the age of 90, Clu does not have any plans of going into retirement as he is still active in the industry. In fact, he appeared in two films in 2018 – Children of the Corn: Runaway and Give Til It Hurts. He also has a part in the upcoming film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Charlotte Rampling, 72 Years Old

Charlotte Rampling became a well-known actress as she appeared in multiple European arthouse films. She became an icon of the Swinging Sixties in her younger years, began her modeling career, and later became a fashion muse. At the age of 72, even though Charlotte had already achieved greatness in her career, it seems like she won’t be having her retirement soon. Charlotte even released her own autobiography titled Qui Je Suis that was published in 2015. She is still active in the industry and has appeared in multiple films, including Red Sparrow, Hannah, and The Sense of an Ending.

Loni Anderson, 72 Years Old

You probably remember Loni Anderson and her lush lips, with which she stunned men when she appeared in WKRP as the sultry Jennifer Marlowe. Her acting debut was in the 1966 Steve McQueen-starred film Nevada Smith. Anderson also gained a lot of attention for her short relationship with Burt Reynolds, one of the biggest stars of her time. Though her career later started declining, her bank account is surely in good shape as she hasn’t stopped acting. In fact, Anderson has a recurring role in the TV series My Sister Is So Gay, where she has been appearing since 2016.

Rhonda Fleming, 94 Years Old

Rhonda Fleming was a huge female role model back in the day, and people started noticing her after her starring role in Hitchcock’s Spellbound. Fleming appeared in around forty Hollywood films, and her big break came from the Alfred Hitchcock film, Spellbound.  Her bright red hair and colors that she wore weren’t visible at first, but when Technicolor TV was introduced, and people witnessed her beauty, she was later called “The Queen of Technicolor.” Flemming is now 94, still looking fabulous.

Robert Fuller – 84 Years Old

Robert Fuller began his acting career during the ’50s, appearing in Western movies and TV shows such as Wagon TrainThe Brain from Planet Arous, and Teenage Thunder. Although Fuller had a lot more to offer to the world of film, the actor made his retirement official in 2001. Today, the retired movie star enjoys being a horse rancher, spending his days on a ranch with his wife, actress Jennifer Savidge.

Hal Holbrook, 93 Years Old

Hal Holbrook’s legacy in Hollywood will live on forever, as the iconic actor starred in several acclaimed films of his time, though he is most famous for playing Mark Twain in Mark Twain Tonight, a one-man stage play. He has won several Awards, and retiring isn’t among his plans, as he even appeared in the recent hit show, Sons of Anarchy. His health seems to be pretty good for the time being, despite his age, and he’s expected to live many more years.

Tony Bennett, 91 Years Old

There’s not much to say about Tony Bennett. A true music legend of his generation, he dominated the music industry during the ’50s, and believe it or not, he’s now 91 years old, and still active! His voice still has its trademark tone, while somehow, Bennett has managed to become more and more charming as he grew up.  Surprisingly, the singing guru witnessed tragic stuff during WWII, in which he fought, but he never required psychological therapy. He’s now nine years away from becoming a centenarian.

Queen Elizabeth II, 92 Years Old

After all these years on the throne, Queen Elizabeth II is now more than just England’s reigning lady. In fact, her distinct clothing options, enormous wealth, and ways have made her a global celebrity, and in 2016, she became the world’s longest-serving monarch. The Queen must be taking all her vitamins and supplements regularly, as, apart from some minor health issues in 2017, she’s still looking as good as ever, making people wonder how excellent her genes are.

Eva Marie Saint, 94 Years Old

With a career that dates back to the ’40s, Eva Marie Saint is more than just a historical actress. Saint is one of many actresses who became stars by playing in a Hitchcock movie (she appeared in North By Northwest), though she’s better known for her role in On the Waterfront, which, in fact, granted her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Surprisingly, she’s now 94 years old without facing a single health issue, and the shine of her bright blue eyes is still evident.

Jackie Mason, 87 Years Old

Jackie Mason is ranked among the best stand-up comedians of all time, and the 87-year-old star still has the caustic grin he had when we watched his one-man shows, The World According To Me and Jackie Mason On Broadway. His edgy sense of humor and puns have raised a lot of controversies, but he never changed to increase his popularity, staying true from the start to the end. Despite his age, he doesn’t seem to be in need of doctors, who have been a common subject in his stand-up comedy shows.

Stan Lee, 95 Years Old

Do you know that we would have never met Captain America or Spiderman if it weren’t for their creator, Stan Lee? Lee is the brain behind the creation of Marvel’s most famous fictional superheroes, and comic books across the world worship him like a god. He even made guest appearances in Marvel films, and while he’s not editor-in-chief right now, he still participates in the company’s work. And how couldn’t he? He’s 95, without any physical or mental illness putting obstacles in his work. 

Jacqueline White, 95 Years Old

Jacqueline White made her debut film appearance in the early ’40s, quickly catching the eye of film directors, something that rewarded her with a bright career, which only lasted for a decade though. White opted to retire ten years after her first acting steps, but they were enough to secure a spot for her among the classic actresses of the past century. Once praised for her acting ability, White is now praised for the fact that she looks so good despite being 95, without even having to visit the hospital once. 

George H. W. Bush, 94 Years Old

George H. W. Bush is one of the most popular former US Presidents, and his political legacy kept living through his son George Bush’s work, who is a former US President as well. Apart from being a politician, Bush Sr. had also engaged in many business ventures, increasing his personal wealth tremendously, something that helped him get elected. Beverly Cleary, 102 Years Old

If you loved reading as a child, then you’re certainly familiar with Beverly Cleary, one of the greatest children’s fiction authors ever. Ribsy and Ralph S. Mouse are now considered classics, and the talented author has enjoyed a life full of success, with critics praising her for her writing skills. What many people don’t know is that Clearly had numerous cats over the years, which definitely worked as emotional support animals for her, as pets tend to keep us happy and make our stress disappear. Cleary is now 102 years old!

June Lockhart, 93 Years Old

June Lockhart made us admire her acting talent in many different projects, from TV and films to stage plays. She’s famous for her TV appearance in Lassie, and for the Broadway play, For Love or Money. Just imagine that this iconic actress has two spots on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. Robert Clary, 92 Years Old

Robert Clary became famous for his acting and singing skills, and his story is very impressive. When he was 16, Clary was imprisoned in a Nazi concentration camp, in Buchenwald. He capitalized on his beautiful voice to survive, as he often sang for Nazi troops. He entertained them, and in exchange, they spared his life. He later moved to America where he made his first ‘acting’ steps. It still amazes us that Clary never seemed to have suffered from mental illness after all that he went through.

Arlene Dahl, 92 Years Old

Arlene Dahl, one of the most beloved redheads of her time, became pretty famous during the ’50s, even if her acting career was rather short. She then ventured into other activities, such as opening her own cosmetics and women’s lingerie line. She later started working with a big advertising company, Kenyon and Eckhardt, which she eventually left as well. Dahl is now 92 years old, and her distinct ginger looks are still glimmering. She got married six times and divorced fives times!

Gene Reynolds, 95 Years Old

Gene Reynolds tried to make his first steps into acting when he was still very young, but unluckily, it was his call of duty that delayed his progress. Reynolds had to fight in WWII, and he luckily didn’t suffer any serious injuries. When he came back, he started working as a director, and he was one of the brains behind the hit series, M*A*S*H. He won many awards, and we guess that at 95, he really watches out for his health, especially after surviving war.

Jimmy Lydon, 95 Years Old

Jimmy Lydon’s father was addicted to drinking, and the other family members had to work in order to survive. When he first started acting, it was a matter of survival and providing for the family’s well-being. However, Lydon soon came to love what he was doing on stage and on the small screen. Along with Gene Reynolds, they’re the creators of the famous TV series M*A*S*H. The veteran actor is now 95, with no health issues troubling him, fortunately. He has two children and is now living with his second wife.

Caren Marsh-Doll, 99 Years Old

Caren Marsh-Doll was unfortunately never credited for her participation in the Wizard of Oz and Ziegfeld Girl films because she worked as Judy Garland’s dance double. However, the people who worked in the industry definitely know her. The 99-year-old dancer almost lost her life in 1949, when the plane she was on crashed. She almost had her left foot amputated, and though she was informed that she would probably never dance again, with extensive treatment and her strong will, she returned to dancing, against all odds. 

Marge Champion, 98 Years Old

We’re sure that you love Disney’s classic animated films, but do you know who was responsible for the dance moves that most of their princesses performed? Disney’s directors imitated Marge Champion’s moves to enrich their characters’ realism and dancing. The renowned dancer and choreographer is now 98 years old, but she definitely doesn’t look like it. She must have had some top notch injury insurance, as the occupational hazard of a career in dancing is quite high. Champion has also worked briefly as an actress, having made numerous TV appearances.

Valentina Cortese, 95 Years Old

Sophia Loren wasn’t Italy’s only celebrity who made it big in Hollywood. Valentina Cortese is another Italian actress who dominated American showbiz, especially with her role in Day For Night, for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She made a lot of bucks back then, which are surely helpful, as she’s now 95 years old, and an excellent health insurance is much needed. Despite her age, she always has the most eccentric and stylish clothing options. 

Peggy Stewart, 95 Years Old

Peggy Stewart became quite popular for her roles in Western B-movies, and she also appeared in many TV shows of her time. She has been acting until recent years, and it seems like her partial hair loss hasn’t lessened her motivation to continue appearing on the small screen. Stewart is now 95 years old, and she has been married twice. Her first marriage ended with a breakup, while her second husband, Buck Young, passed away in 2000. She has no children. 

Sam Elliott, 73 Years Old

Though Sam Elliot got his acting debut in the Guys and Dolls musical film, he became a star by playing in numerous Western movies. His mustache and deep voice made him perfect for such roles, and despite being in his early seventies, he’s still active. He even appeared in the 2007 film, Ghost Rider. The veteran actor now lives in Malibu alongside his wife Katherine Ross, with whom they have one child. Although he has slowed down, full retirement doesn’t seem to be in his plans.

Loretta Swit, 80 Years Old

Loretta Swit’s parents were rather dubious about their daughter pursuing a career in acting, believing it wouldn’t earn her a proper living. With so many failed actors, we don’t really blame them! However, Loretta’s talent was exceptional and she ended up with $4 million to her name. Although she began acting at a tender age of seven, things didn’t look up until she took on the role of Maj in the show M*A*S*H—which turned out to be the most famous role she ever took on. She gave up acting in the ‘90s to live a comfortable life.

Philip Michael Thomas, 69 Years Old

Philip Thomas grabbed the public’s attention with his impressive acting in Coonskin back in 1975. He later added to his portfolio the credit for Sparkle and the ‘80s hit TV series Miami Vice. Also, his voice was used for the character Lance Vance in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City—probably easily recognizable by game enthusiasts. He has also released two music albums. But unfortunately for him, the albums were a flop and didn’t make sales. You win some, you lose some!

Meredith Baxter, 71 Years Old

Meredith Baxter found great opportunity when she was cast in the hit TV show Family and in All the President’s Men, both released in 1976. Baxter later committed to Family Ties where she found herself busy until the end of the show in 1989. Sadly, she discovered she was suffering from breast cancer in 1999. Fortunately, she overcame the condition and is living healthily and happily. She sure doesn’t look her age of 71 years old!

Abby Dalton, 85 Years Old

Abby Dalton is a woman who has worked hard over many years. Her performance on Hennesey was certainly impressive, but it was her gorgeous smile that got people hooked on Abby! Decades later, she still delivers a beautiful smile. Why not? She has enjoyed a successful career with countless roles and plenty to smile about! She dedicated a lot of her time to the ’80s show Falcon Crest, where she spent 5 years filming 98 episodes. After the show’s end, she let her acting career come to a natural end and eventually gave it up for good in 2008.

Julie Christie, 78 Years Old

Julie Christie was quite a name in the ‘60s after she first came to prominence with the 1963 movie called Billy Liar. It was with the movie Darling that she landed the most memorable role of her acting career, though. She won an Academy Award for her performance in the film and she went on to later win a Golden Globe as well as a BAFTA Award. She has a net worth of $10 million to show for her work in the cinemas, and she is considered one of the most iconic British Actresses of her time.   

Dawn Wells, 79 Years Old

Dawn Wells became an American favorite when she starred in Gilligan’s Island, stealing the show with her charmingly good looks and her adorable ponytail. Katherine MacGregor delivered a sensational performance in Little House on the Prairie. Her impressive performance defined her acting career so much that she actually didn’t go on for any other roles upon the ending of the ‘70s TV show. She went into retirement and got married and divorced twice, but had no children. Her last marriage was in 1970, but she didn’t get married again afterward. She didn’t chase success like so many do—she chose to live in comfort instead!

Michael York, 76 Years Old

The award-winning English actor Michael York has enjoyed a prolific and successful career and has even been nominated twice for an Emmy Award for his TV performances. He was raised in Sussex but was born in Buckinghamshire. York began his acting career in theatre in the ‘60s, before landing a role in Accident. Since then, he’s amassed impressive earnings and accumulated 167 acting credits. He is still active, and hasn’t given up his career just yet!

Ted Lange played Isaac Washington, a bartender in the popular show The Love Boat. Gavin MacLeod was his co-star on the show and they remained great friends ever since. Lange is an educated performer. Jane Powell, 89 Years Old

Jane Powell first got a taste of fame when she performed as a singer and dancer in her hometown of Portland. Powell was only a teenager when she signed a contract with Metro Goldwin Mayer in the early ’40s, later appearing in numerous musicals and already having sorted out her retirement planning. Powell’s career slowed down after the ’50s and she turned to stage acting and Broadway productions to keep acting. The last time we say Powell on screen was in 2002 when she made a guest appearance in Law & Order: SVU. She still makes occasional acting appearances, though in stage plays and not on TV.

Claudia Cardinale, 80 Years Old

Little did Claudia Cardinale know, when she was born in 1938, that she would eventually grow up to be one of her time’s biggest feminine role models. After being named the most beautiful Italian woman in Tunisia in 1957, she won a trip to Italy where movie producers quickly noticed her. Cardinale quickly increased her salary by moving to the US. However, she returned to Europe so as not to be typecast as just another feminine symbol. Cardinale then became a huge promoter of women’s rights. As a sign of appreciation, the LA Times Magazine included her in its 50 most beautiful women in film history list back in 2011.
