As of July 2023, Greta reportedly lives in a friend’s apartment in Stockholm. Sometimes, she hangs out with her family and their pet dogs, a black labrador named Roxy, and a golden retriever, Moses. She also spends time in community centers with other activists like herself. From such communities, she draws inspiration and energy for her impactful protests and speeches.

When New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, more known as AOC, came face-to-face with a longstanding congressman in the 2018 elections, detractors brought up her home in Yorktown in New York, pointing out that she didn’t grow up in the Bronx. However, she clarified that her zip code had nothing to do with her bid.

The said house was sold in 2016 for $355K, but unfortunately, no listing has provided details about the home. It is worth noting that this was a far cry from other luxurious houses in the neighborhood. They were only able to afford to live in this place because AOC said her mom worked hard scrubbing toilets.

The place was originally built in 1984 and is estimated to be worth $100 million. Apart from the glam, the best thing is that she was able to add her personal touch to it.

The house showcased Streisand’s impressive collection of art designs and furnishings. She even took part in designing the house’s architectural details, including the doors, stairs, tiles, and rugs. As Architectural Digest noted, one space that stood out was the living room fireplace, which featured a Mondrian-like arrangement of decorative panels.

Now, the property has been picked up by Dave and Angela Dawes who won more than £100million on the Euromillions, in 2011. According to the Mirror, the discovery comes a week after The Voice judge Tom sold his £6.5million home in Los Angeles and quit the US because it was his wife Linda’s dying wish to move back to Britain.
