Today, we have a hand-picked selection of the old greats – the last living entertainers of Hollywood’s so-called Golden Age. Several of them are in retirement, but some are still active in spite of their age! Find out which members of the cast of your favorite old shows are still alive and kicking and what they’ve been up to during their most recent years. Let’s visit the memory of some of the old jewels in the entertainment industry, and a handful of the best productions over the decades (and century!) that were ever made and graced by these great talents! Take a look!

Betty White – The Golden Girls

Illinois-born Betty White is best known for the devious character ‘Sue Ann Nivens’ on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, a popular sitcom. But the most endearing character that White has ever portrayed in her acting portfolio must have been that of ‘Rose Nylund’ on The Golden Girls. The TV show was based on four old women who lived together, and the other three women who aced alongside White have passed on already in 2008 (Estelle Getty), 2009 (Beatrice Arthur), and in 2010 (Rue McClanahan). White is 97 today, in 2019, and she is the widow of Allen Ludden, a TV game show host.

Barbara Eden – I Dream Of Jeannie

She was born Barbara Jean Morehead, but she’s known as Barbara Eden. Eden furthered her education through San Francisco’s City College and then through to the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She later attended the Elizabeth Holloway School of Theatre. During the early years of her career, Eden was motivated by her aspirations in singing, but after starring in I Dream of Jeannie in 1965, she gained fame like nothing else she had worked on! Eden is by no means inactive in her late 80s. In fact, in 2018, she even made an appearance in a Long Island Medium episode.
