Focusing Becomes Nearly Impossible

It’s pretty common for people suffering from GAD to be closely linked to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, more commonly known as ADHD.

This is due to the fact that individuals burdened by anxiety orders normally have a difficult time maintaining concentration and focus.

According to Dr. Lee, an individual with such a disorder is always in their head and are easily distracted by all the negativity and obsessions that are surrounding them.

You Worry About Being Worried

Despite the fact that many anxiety orders arise from having specific worries, in the case of GAD, your worries get to extreme levels. You might find yourself worrying about things that hold no merit, for example, what the future holds for you, or the types of phobias that you have.

You Recoil into a Shell and Tend to Avoid People

It is pretty common for an individual that is suffering from a social anxiety disorder to steer clear of certain situations, regardless of the merit or level of vitality that they hold.

Additionally, Lee highlights that such avoidance in itself is also a major cause of anxiety disorder. That’s because the relief that an individual feels when they avoid such instances of anxiety, reinforces the anxiety in itself.

Sleep Becomes a Precious Commodity

The most depressing thing about anxiety is that it has a way of ruining the precious sleep you cherish so deeply. In fact, almost all anxiety disorders make individuals lack sleep. This is because they are always thinking about these thoughts before they even have a chance to catch some sleep.

You Have an Obscured Mentality About Life

One of the worst things about anxiety disorders is that they deprive you of the mentality of seeing the positive things in life. This in turn, makes you aggressive and not willing to sample new experiences in life. Additionally, it also makes some individuals grumpy, and shun from socializing, travelling, and sampling life’s splendor.
