The suspicion about West’ bipolar disorder first emerged when he suddenly canceled his Saint Pablo tour sometime in November 2016. A few days later, several reports started surfacing about West’s spiralling health which wound him up in a hospital for psychiatric emergency.
In Summer 2018, West publicly admitted that he had a bipolar disorder after releasing his album entitled “Ye.” The cover art bore phrases such as “It’s Awesome” and “I hate being bipolar.”

The Decision
While the doctors prescribed him some medication to help him get proper sleep, Kardashian revealed that West chose not to take them. According to him, rest is not really an option since it can’t change his workaholic nature or his hectic schedule.
Instead of medicating himself, West catches up on sleep whenever he’s travelling or on tour. When he’s not busy, he stays at home to spend quality time with his family and children.
A Tide of Controversies
