Ariana Grande’s Terrifying Brain Scans Reveal She Has More Than Just PTSD
It has been over a year since the horrifying terror attack in Manchester Arena where Ariana Grande was performing for her Dangerous Woman tour, but the singer is still suffering from PTSD in the aftermath of the event.
Although Grande initially refrained from speaking about how the attack affected her personally, she eventually opened up in an Elle interview and admitted that she suffers from depression and anxiety ever since the 2017 catastrophe.
To make matters worse, the singer has suffered from a string of heartbreaks and loss, from the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller to her unfortunate split with ex-fiance, Pete Davidson.
With so much emotional turmoil in Grande’s life, one’s bound to wonder how she copes with her mental health issues. The famous singer opens up about her struggles in a touching post.
The Confession
Ariana took a short break from posting fun stuff from her recent Sweetener tour to tackle serious issues like mental health awareness and her struggles with PTSD through Instagram stories.
Ariana shocked her fans when she posted a screenshot of her three brain scans she’d undergone back then. She captioned the photo as “not a joke.”
The story showed two side-by-side images of her brain scans. The left one depicted a healthy brain, while the one on the right showed the brain of someone who’s suffering from PTSD.
The CT scan showed that the PTSD brain had several highlighted areas compared to its healthy counterpart, indicating towards abnormal neural activity and overproduction of stress hormones.
What disturbed fans even more was when the singer shared the scan of her own brain after the terror attack, showing that the highlighted regions in her brain were twice as bad as the PTSD brain!
The Effects
While it remains unclear when Grande got these brain scans, it serves as an eye-opener to everybody, especially to her fans about the ill-effects of PTSD.
Aside from sharing her brain scans, the 25-year-old renowned singer also confessed about her mental health struggles in an interview with the British Vogue. Grande said while it pained her to admit she’s suffering from anxiety, she didn’t want to keep it a secret from her fans any longer.
There were times she felt dizzy and anxious as if the crowd was going wild around her. According to the experts, Grande was suffering some PTSD symptoms.
The renowned singer once felt she didn’t have a right to talk about her mental health illness, not when she knew her fans had lost their families. The most painful thing was that Grande knew and loved her fans, so she felt guilty over their untimely deaths.
The Massive Support
Despite the challenges and trials she endured, Grande was thankful for her fans’ massive support. Not only they’re understanding of her impulsive and candid personality, but they still keep on supporting her songs and music.
Today, Grande is fighting to get back on her feet again, and thanks to the support of her fans and family, she is able to heal from the past events and move on with her life.
Grande also promised her fans that she’ll come back stronger and fiercer not only for herself but also for those who support her.
As of now, the renowned singer is content with making music at her own pace and doesn’t want to put her career on the forefront, especially during a time where she needs to focus on her health and wellbeing.
