Contrary to popular belief that the royals eat the most luxurious many-course meals every day, the powerful family, especially the Queen prefers a rather bland menu. Let us take a peek at the Queen’s diet which keeps her youthful and energetic for her royal duties.

A Simple Yet Tasty Breakfast

So if you’re not a fan of non-flavored teas, you might have a hard time drinking it down due to its bitter and bland taste but since the Queen has been practicing this ritual for many years, she’s already used to it.

The Queen then moves on to her breakfast which either consists of a bowl of cereal with fresh fruits, scrambled eggs topped with smoked salmon, or a toast with marmalade. Thankfully, she also loves to drink coffee with her breakfast for that early morning caffeine kick.

Eating a Challenging Snack

If you think drinking bitter tea is the hard part, wait till you hear what the Queen has for lunch. According to her former butler, the royal matriarch prefers a bland sandwich around noon to replenish her energy levels and indulges in a healthy snack at 5 pm. For her sandwich, she prefers grilled chicken breast sandwiched between two pieces of dry scone and some veggies on the side.

All of her meals are unflavored, and without any sauces or condiments. Furthermore, the Queen sometimes gives her scones to her corgis and only eats the raw vegetable with unseasoned chicken! Alternatively, she may also request for a sandwich made with whole wheat bread, cream cheese, and sliced cucumber.
