You Had No Idea, But These Things Are Aging You!
These common things are the enemies of your beauty and youth! Look, we know that growing older can sometimes be a wonderful thing because you gain wisdom and get a better idea of what you want in life.
But, there is also the less wonderful side of that. We age, and all of that amazing wisdom starts to show on our faces as spots or wrinkles. And yeah, it’s a normal part of life and a sort of beauty on its own. However, there are tips and tricks that can slow down the arrival of that special kind of beauty if you know what we mean.
So, we know that tanning is terrible for our skin, and that lack of moisturizing can be hell for your face. Nonetheless, there are other things that we never suspected would be able to ruin our skin, and they make it age much faster than it should.

Eating less is certainly great for you, especially if you cut the excess/ However, essential fats are the ones responsible for keeping your skin plump and tender. We are talking about omega-3 fats and others found in foods such as avocado, salmon, and flaxseed. These fats are the ones that are keeping your brain in perfect shape.
Using a straw to drink
If you thought that drinking through a straw might be a good way to avoid stains on your teeth, think again. When you pucker your lips, it causes fine lines around them to appear, and those are irreversible. Same goes for smoking. Replace the straw with a regular drinking glass, and make sure to keep up with dental care.
Sleeping with your face down
It is important to get enough sleep, but if you sleep with your face shoved into the pillow, you might actually be adding creases and lines to your face. Instead of that, try to sleep on your back with the back of your head on the pillow. It is better for your back, and for your face.
Sunscreen only in the summer
Critical error. Even on the cloudiest days, there are still many of those dangerous UV rays that come through those clouds and wreaking havoc on your skin. The easiest thing to do is to get a moisturizer with SPF in it, so you just have to put it before you leave the house in the morning. Yes, that means even during winter.
Watching too much TV
Believe it or not, a study has shown that watching too much television can take years off of your life, and have a large effect on your body, including your skin. Staring at the screen is not that big of an issue as sitting still for long periods of time is. Therefore, if you are a screen junkie, make sure to get up at least every 30 minutes to walk around the couch. Use the commercial breaks.
Incorrect use of makeup
Never apply makeup starting at the forehead. Working your way downwards is a motion that causes wrinkles to form faster, especially around the eyes. Try starting at the chin, work your way up, and be very gentle.
The thinnest skin of your body is the one surrounding your eyes, and it has very few oil glands, which means that if you don’t treat it well, you might start seeing lines and wrinkles a lot earlier than you should. Find a good eye cream and protect that delicate skin. A little tip – best cremes are the ones containing peptides, nicotinic acid, eyeliss, and caffeine.
You are too stressed
One of the biggest tolls on your body is taken by stress. It goes so far as to affect your DNA and brain function. This can make you lose sleep, raise your blood pressure, and this is terrible for your skin. If you keep stress at bay with meditation, exercise or by spending time with your loved ones, your skin might look a lot better.
Washing your face too often
If you wash your face too much – like, more than once or twice a day – that can remove all of the essential oils that reside on your face, leaving it dry and more likely to get lines and wrinkles.
