Hough now has a partnership deal with SpeakENDO for the primary aim of getting more people aware of endometriosis. In a recent interview, Hough shared insights into how she stays energized even though calm and also how she remains healthy without depriving herself.

Her Husband’s Influence

In 2017, Hough tied the knot with Brook Laiche, a pro ice hockey player and while it is typical for a lot of newlyweds to go out of town, Hough and Laiche spend good time together as they go early to bed.

According to Hough, her husband champions their healthy living as he rises early and goes back early to bed. She said if she wants to spend time with him, she also has to adopt the same routine. This change comes as a welcome development for Hough considering that her work in the entertainment industry could require her to stay up late sometimes.

Fitness and Food Preferences

In addition to juicing, she also takes protein shake right after her regular workouts. Also, she ensures that she consumes healthy fats all through the day, a habit highly recommended for women who have endometriosis. She said that she loves avocado a lot and even eats it out of its shell.

When it comes to her workout routine, she emphasized the importance of mixing things up and noted that she includes HIIT workouts in her routine or any other similar workout. She, however, admits that she remains a dancer as such dancing would not stop being her top way to exercise. She loves dancing not just because it’s a good way to release emotions and build endorphins, but is also effective in strengthening the body. She said when you dance, you use all the muscles your body has and that includes the muscles you probably didn’t know existed because they are so deep.

Handling Stress With Daily Morning Routine

She said she begins each day priming. Priming is an early morning exercise highly recommended by Tony Robbins. It is a type of physical exercise that entails rapid breathing with the aim of changing a person’s state of mind. According to Hough, she breathes in and out her nose thirty times for three different times. As she does that, she thinks about the things she’s grateful for, and sometimes she thinks about what she intends to achieve on that particular day.

She emphasized the importance of attainability when one is setting goals because people sometimes set goals that are not so realistic and that discourages them even before they start. After she sets her daily goals, she makes for herself a cup of tea and spends time with her 2 Cavalier puppies, Harley and Lex.

In times past, she also noted that she always rushed out almost every morning, but she has changed her routine and instead focus on remaining peaceful and present. She attributes a part of that to an improvement of mental health.

Talking About Endometriosis

Hough got the endometriosis diagnosis in 2008. Endometriosis is a uterine disease which affects 10% of the women population causing cramping, extreme pain and also fertility complications. Over the past couple of years, Hough together with other celebrities who have this disease have been doing all they can to increase awareness about it because most people do not know or talk about it. According to her, she wants to increase awareness among women and encourage them to open up about it.
