As a person who has just reached menopause, maintain a daily tracking of the reasons for the hot flashes you experience. You may experience this condition when you take caffeine, alcohol, are in a hot room, or even facing stressful conditions. Despite being common causes, take deep and slow breaths. If the condition becomes difficult, contact your doctor.

Night Sweats

During the night, hot flashes can extend up to three minutes or more, leaving you unable to sleep and drenched in sweat. However, this condition is easily manageable; you just have to make small changes to the clothing you wear. You can also use a bedside fan to keep the air moving in the room.

Sleep Problems

Exercise is a good way to relax the body. Any exercise will be helpful as long as you stop exercising three hours before bedtime. Avoid taking alcohol as a nightcap. Instead, replace it with a glass of warm milk because it can be relaxing. You can also adapt the habit of reading until you are overcome by sleep. If you continue to experience sleeping difficulties, your doctors can help with short-term sleep remedies.

Hormonal Changes

Menopause will cause some hormone changes, which can cause problems, especially when indulging in intercourse. That does not mean you ignore one part of your life; you just need to get some help from your doctor. He or she will give you prescriptions or advise you about effective OTC medications.

Nurturing The Lost Desire

It is common among women to lose their desire for intercourse after the onset of menopause. This is due to a number of reasons apart from the hormone changes. They could face problems with poor sleep, depression, stress, and bladder trouble. However, you should rekindle your lost desire by using some erotica or changing intercourse routines to make life interesting all over again.

Mood Swings

Mood swings are quite common around the time of menopause. Some women experience extreme mood swings, and they need to seek help from exercises such as yoga and tai chi. Doctors recommend antidepressants and low-dose birth control pills as alternative remedies in some instances.

Women who are suffering from migraines can feel the problem worsening around the time of menopause. Others may even begin having them around this time.

You are advised to keep a diary of the triggers in order to understand how to deal with them and take the necessary steps to alleviate the condition. Hunger and lack of sleep can also trigger headaches. Your doctors will be able to provide a remedy for the condition, but you can definitely try to understand the triggers.

Hair Loss

Women can face a problem with hair loss and growth of hair where it is not required—on the chin or cheeks. Get remedy from a dermatologist. For any unwanted facial hair, get rid of it.
